5am. Today’s the day for my long awaited shoulder surgery! Dr. Khazzam (bam!) will be “staple gunning” my dislocating shoulder back on and then doing a bone transfer to repair the bone knocked away from each of my 6 dislocations. Adam is at my side and here’s our obligatory hospital picture, were both blurry eyed due to the obscenely early hour! It will be a long recovery and, frankly, I’m dreading being in a sling for 3 months, only using one arm and unable to drive. I got this!
