A Little About My Journey: Heart Transplant & Cancers

Read about Jennifer's unbelievable journey that started in 1991 at age 14. Jennifer has overcome three different cancers: bone, breast and lung (all years apart and distinct). Ultimately, chemo as a teenager resulted in a heart transplant. Transplant was an intense journey, as Jennifer's mother also had ovarian cancer at the same time. Jennifer's mother lost her battle and died while Jennifer was recovering from breast cancer surgery. At times life felt unbearable for Jennifer. Now at age 45 in 2022, this difficult journey continues with blood clots and organ rejection. This post is Jennifer's story.
